Wireless water tank level monitor

# The water tank level monitor that warns before you run dry.

A sensor on the tank, a display in the house and an app on your phone. See your level in gallons from anywhere, and get an alert when it crosses the line you set. It reports by long-range radio, with no cell or satellite plan to pay for.

*SAMPLE READING*

## Made for the tanks people depend on

### Hauled water

Order the next load on your schedule, not in an emergency.

### Rainwater

Watch the tank fill after a storm and make it last through a dry spell.

### Well-fed storage tanks

See whether the well is keeping the tank full before the taps tell you.

### Stock tanks

Check the far pasture from the kitchen table.

The monitor

## One kit. Pair it, mount it, and stop climbing the tank.

### A screen in the house

The receiver shows your tank level on its own display. No app, no account and no monthly fee.

### Gallons, not guesses, in the app

Enter your tank's type and size once. The app turns the sensor's reading into gallons and percent full, with water and air temperature beside it.

### Alerts at the levels you set

One high line and one low line, each with its own switch. Cross one and your phone tells you.

### A radio link to the house

The waterproof transmitter on the tank reports to the receiver by long-range LoRa radio. Expect a mile or more with a clear line of sight. On our pilot ranch the link held at three-quarters of a mile through hills and mesquite.

### Solar powered, summer tested

A solar panel keeps the batteries charged, so they last for years. Pilot units have come through Karnes County summers, about as hard as Texas gets on equipment.

### Explore the unit

This is the transmitter, the part that sits on the tank. Drag the model to turn it and see it from every side.

How it works

## Set it up yourself, in four steps.

1. **Power up and pair.** Switch on the transmitter and the receiver and hold them a few feet apart. They pair on their own. Four solid lights mean it worked.
2. **Mount the transmitter.** It sits at the top of the tank and measures down to the water: in the lid port of a closed tank, or on a pole over an open one. Pairing and mounting take a few minutes. Mounting hardware is available on request.
3. **Read your level.** The receiver's display shows your tank level from the first reading. You can stop here: no app or account needed.
4. **Add the app.** Join the receiver to your home Wi-Fi, scan the code on its label, and enter your tank's type and size. Now you see gallons from anywhere.

The app

## The app does the watching.

- Your level over time, with your alert lines drawn on the chart
- Gallons and percent full, with a fresh reading about every 15 minutes
- How much you use on an average day
- Water and air temperature, and the sensor's battery

On iPhone, Android and the web at launch.

*THE APP, WITH SAMPLE READINGS*

On the app's roadmap

### Leak alerts

If the level falls more than 10% in an hour, you hear about it right away.

### Freeze warnings

A heads-up from your local forecast before a hard freeze reaches your tank.

### Run-out forecasts

The app projects your usage forward and warns you about a day before you reach your low line.

How it compares

## A tank monitor with no cell or satellite plan.

Most remote tank monitors send each reading over a cellular or satellite network, and you pay for that connection for as long as you own the monitor. Trivertix sends it by LoRa radio to a receiver in your house, then over the Wi-Fi you already have.

*Trivertix compared with cellular and satellite water tank monitors.*

| | Trivertix LORA RADIO | Cellular monitors CELL NETWORK | Satellite monitors SATELLITE NETWORK |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| How a reading reaches you | LoRa radio to a receiver in your house, then your own Wi-Fi | A cell modem at the tank, through a carrier's network | A satellite modem at the tank, through a satellite network |
| What the tank needs | Sun for the solar panel, and a receiver within radio range | A usable cell signal at the tank | A clear view of the sky |
| Connection plan | None. The radio link is yours. | A data plan, billed for as long as you use it | A satellite plan, usually the costliest connection |
| Level with no subscription | Yes, on the receiver's display | No. The plan is the connection. | No. The plan is the connection. |
| Distance it covers | A mile or more to the receiver, with a clear line of sight | Anywhere a tower reaches | Almost anywhere outdoors |
| Best fit | Tanks within about a mile of a building with power | Tanks with dependable cell coverage | Pastures far from any building |

### Where Trivertix fits

The house tank, the cabin cistern, the rainwater system and the stock tanks around headquarters: any tank within about a mile of a building with power. You read the level on the receiver with no monthly fee, and the app adds alerts on your phone.

### Where it does not

A tank several miles from the nearest building. Satellite monitors such as Ranchbot are built for that job, and they bill a service plan for the connection. If your tanks are a mix, use each where it fits.

## Plain dealing, from Austin.

### It works without a subscription

The receiver shows your level from day one. The monthly plan adds the app, alerts and remote monitoring, at a price printed on this page on launch day.

### You install it

No technician and no site visit. Pairing and mounting take a few minutes.

From the pilot

## Out on working tanks.

The first pilot units watch open cattle watering tanks on the Patterson ranch outside Karnes City, Texas, our co-founder Luke's own ranch. The tanks sit miles apart, and the units have come through the summer heat.

## Questions people ask first

### How far can the tank be from the house?

A mile or more when the tank and the house can see each other. The radio is LoRa at 915 MHz, a type built to carry for miles over open ground. Hills, thick brush and metal buildings in between cut that down: on our pilot ranch the link held at three-quarters of a mile through hills and mesquite. Set the receiver near a window that faces the tank.

### How often does the reading update?

About every 15 minutes. The sensor sleeps between readings to save its battery, so the app shows recent readings and not a live feed.

### Do I need Wi-Fi?

Only for the app. The transmitter talks to the receiver by long-range radio, and the receiver joins your home Wi-Fi to send readings to your phone. Without Wi-Fi it still shows the level on its display.

### Does it need cell service at the tank?

No. The transmitter reaches the receiver in your house by LoRa radio, so it works where there is no cell signal at all. It has no SIM card and no carrier plan.

### How is it different from Ranchbot and other satellite monitors?

Satellite and cellular monitors reach pastures far from any building, and they bill a service plan for the connection. Trivertix reports by radio to a receiver in your house, so there is no connection plan, and the level shows on the receiver with no subscription. It suits tanks within about a mile of a building. For a tank farther out, a satellite monitor is the better tool.

### What tanks does it fit?

Closed storage tanks, cisterns and open stock tanks, including a storage tank fed by a well. It reads the tank, not the well itself. On a closed tank the transmitter sits in the port in the lid. It fits a 4-inch opening, the size of the center vent in the 16-inch lid that many poly storage tanks have, and an adapter fits openings from 4.5 to 5.5 inches. On an open tank it mounts on a pole over the water. It reads tanks up to 16 feet deep.

### Is there a monthly fee?

Not to read your level at home: the receiver's display works without an account. A monthly plan adds the app, alerts and remote monitoring. Both prices are announced at launch.
